Happiness Unveiled
Liberation from the web of waste thoughts
Happiness is a profoundly precious feeling. The desire to feel absolutely full and content with the present is universal. However, in the pursuit of happiness, the soul often finds itself accumulating or chasing specific ideas or goals, laboring under the assumption that their realization will bring about happiness, but to no avail.
True happiness exists in the here and now, obscured only by our wasteful thoughts. This phenomenon is evident in our lives. How do we end up being caught in the web of our own waste and negative thoughts? The momentum behind these wasteful thoughts continuously weaves the web, expanding it relentlessly. Once this momentum is underway, it becomes challenging for the individual to apply a brake to such thoughts. Eventually, the overwhelming nature of these webs traps us, creating a mental cage. How can one be happy in a cage? How can there be blissfulness within its confines?
Discerning our thoughts is crucial. Distinguishing what aligns with truth from mere stories our mind creates. Refrain from entertaining these stories. When awareness slips away from the reality of the present moment, we tend to slide in the direction these stories lead us.
One needs to protect oneself from becoming entangled in these webs by avoiding their creation in the first place. Observe the play of the mind, recognizing it as a play rather than the truth. At times, the pace of thoughts may be overwhelming; in such moments, accept and observe them, knowing they will pass. Resist the temptation to entertain or take them seriously, but neither resist them. Simply observe. Once its momentum fades away, and we feel back in control, create thoughts that are more aligned to the truth and more attuned to our purpose.
All attainments can be experienced in this moment. The inheritance of life and the divine is experienced in the depths of silence. Being silent in this moment and only creating high-quality (high-frequency) thoughts with an intention and a purpose, will allow us to experience the subtle treasures of life. May we all emerge happiness and joy within.
